I wish to inform you of the outcome of the Presidential Election 2017.As there was only the one candidate nominated for the position of President, that of outgoing President Mr. Paul O’Brien, and as the closing date for receipt of nominations was the 1/2/2017 I now deem Paul elected unopposed for the period 2017/2020.
Paul received a total of 17 nominations from members of 17 Branches.I would like on behalf of you/your members and my fellow officers of Council our heartiest congratulations on his re-election and offer our best wishes to Paul for the next three and half years as President.

UEFA European Women’s Championship 2017– Final tournament in The Netherlands
UEFA is pleased to announce the match officials for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 final tournament which will take place in The Netherlands from 16 July to 6 August this year.
And Michelle is going Dutch in July!

Wexford Branch member Michelle O’ Neill flew out to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea to officiate in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which takes place from the 13 November to 3 December.
Michelle is the sole representative from Ireland and she will join with colleagues from Europe / Africa/ Asia & the Americas for this prestigious tournament which has 16 teams taking part which include Japan/ N. & S. Korea/ Nigeria/ USA/ Brazil/ France/ Germany & Spain.
The members of the ISRS Nationwide wish Michelle well for the tournament and congratulate her for yet another wonderful appointment in an outstanding and Young career to date

The ISRS was founded in November 1959, when seven men responded to a letter to the newspapers to attend a meeting at 321 Crumlin Road, where a “Referees’ Debating Society” was formed.
Since that day over 65 years ago we have come a long way in making the Qualified Organisation that now is ISRS.
Our Members have officiated at local Schoolboys Matches around the Country from Cork to Donegal and on the International Stage from Schoolboy Friendlies to The World Cup Finals.
We have Members having put down the Whistle remain on-board as Observers both Nationally and Internationally.
